ABOUT A WOMAN TALKING:

BEST NEWCOMER NOMINEE, Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2015

Having just received a Best Newcomer nomination at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and fresh from supporting Josie Long on her UK tour, O’Loughlin presents an hour of oddball stand-up featuring stowaways, unsung heroes and a woman talking.

Adored for creating cult festival favourite FanFiction Comedy and for her appearances on BBC Knowledge, Heidi O’Loughlin is one of ‘New Zealand’s brightest young comedy writers’ (Fest).

In equal measure smart and personal, surreal and feminist, this is contemporary comedy from one of the brightest new voices on the international stage. Having performed around the world, including representing New Zealand at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, being nominated (twice) for Best Show Concept by the NZ Comedy Guild and selling out shows in Edinburgh, Heidi presents her new hour.

PRESS:

“Endearing from the outset...personal [and] political” - Beat Magazine

“Her delivery is perfect...comedy with a little more substance.” - Herald Sun

"Uber comedy whizkid"  - Theatreview
